A Landscaping Project, WIP 02

After importing an .obj from SketchUp into Maya, the work mainly consisted of fixing textures, because the UVs were all messed up, and I’m fairly sure SketchUp has its own way of texture mapping that doesn’t produce usable UVs. And after textures have been taken care of, I went onto modifying the Paint Effects plants so that they look like the actual plants intended to be planted in the garden. I have so far some Hostas ‘Strip Tease‘, Rhododendron ‘Yaku Princess’, Azeleas, Heuchera Americana ‘Pewter Veil’, Christmas Fern, Helleborus ‘Linten Rose’, Pulmonaria ‘Bertram Anderson’, and Japanese Maple in the center. I have yet to create a couple more plants, such as another variety of Hostas, and a ground cover for the left side of the garden.
